DHH Specific Interventions

See-the-Sound Visual Phonics

STS-Visual Phonics© is a tool that may facilitate the teaching of:

Reading through the development of sound-letter connections and decoding skills;

Writing through the development of spelling and word study skills; and

Speech through the development of articulation skills speechreading skills.

STS-VP training is currently available through VNOC as an online training. A school division hosting an online regional STS-VP training may be invoiced directly by the VNOC See-the-Sound VP trainer and will be required to pay the trainer's professional fee. The school division would then be eligible to apply for 100% reimbursement of the trainer's professional fee for the online regional See-the-Sound Visual Phonics© training.
